However, not everyone is a good applicant for Acupuncture.

Earlier having acupuncture treatment, be sure to tell the physician if you:

Have a bleeding disorder. Your gambles of bleeding or bruising from the needles may increase if you have a bleeding disorder or are taking blood thinners.

Have a pacemaker. Acupuncture that includes applying mild electrical pulses to the needles may interfere with a pacemaker’s operation.

How much does an Acupuncture Session Cost?

The first step will be for our specialist to perform a medical evaluation and design a treatment plan which may or may not comprise Acupuncture. Your health insurance must cover this first appointment except for some restrictions that vary according to your type of insurance.

Subsequent sessions will cost $70 each. Unfortunately, your health insurance does not cover these. However, we constantly have promotional rates. Ask us about current discounts and packages.

Introductory, needle-free, ear acupuncture sessions for weight loss, smoking cessation, substance abuse rehab, or acu-magnet anxiety are $30 each. This lower price is due to the need for more frequent sessions, and applications generally take only 10 minutes. Therefore, these treatments are already covered -if necessary-in, in the 50-minute acupuncture sessions.

If you do not take health insurance, the first acupuncture session costs $120. Depending on the condition treated (this does not apply to cases of chronic pain, weight loss, or substance abuse rehabilitation), we may require that you undergo a third-party medical evaluation within six months before your acupuncture treatment. In this case, the consultation does not include the medical evaluation.

For patients who do not have health insurance, we do not offer treatments other than acupuncture and behavior modification, such as nutrition recommendations and stress management, among others.

Conclusion
